…uh… What’s a TEAR SHEET?! As a part of our design services (full service or virtual) we provide detailed tear sheets that provide you everything you need to know about the individual item: 📋What it is (duh!) 📏Specifications (b/c size matters here!) 🏷️Price 📦ETA How it differs for each service: 📍For FULL SERVICE: We use them in our presentations, showing you the fuller piece that goes along with the finish or fabric sample displayed for you. We often use them to make notes on for fabricators and upholsters so they have an additional visual to make sure that we’re on the same page. It’s also a great way for a client - in the middle of a lot of big decisions - have a singular view on a piece when deciding their feelings on it. 📍For VIRTUAL: We use this to send over in a similar way, it gives clients an easy view of an item. In this service, since they’re doing the shopping themselves, it also includes a link to the item (which also connects to your shopping list.) Also, if a VC has decided to purchase a different piece, this gives them the ideal sizing/specifications so that they don’t have to question if it will work later. Tear Sheets have always been a favorite of mine. I’ll use them in our Spec books and Furnishings binders, often stapling a tiny piece of fabric that we’re specifying for it. Often during renovations, we’ll have clients reach out about wanting to add a coffee bar (or a bar-bar!🥂) with the idea of really using the space at hand to create a home that fits their functions. Sometimes, the issue comes with a worry about it can’t be done due to space, well we have news: You don’t need as much as you think to be the base for something you’ll use for years to come. We added a few options between 12” to 4’, that can help give you a visual on what could happen in your home. Fully custom to aesthetic renovations, it’s always important to share exactly what you hope for and let the professionals find the best ways to make that happen.
